Repo Declutter Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 17, 2026

Repo Declutter ("the app") is a desktop app from EERIE. This policy covers every version of the app: the Microsoft Store version, the Mac App Store version and the itch.io version. It explains how the app handles your information.

Summary

Repo Declutter does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal information. Everything it works with stays on your own device.

Information we collect

None. Repo Declutter has no user accounts, no sign-in, and no analytics or tracking.

Where your data is stored

The app only reads the code folders you point it at, and it only ever acts on the items you select. Your preferences (such as theme, exclusion lists, last-used folder and whether the usage readout is shown) are saved locally on your own computer. On macOS, the app also saves a permission bookmark so it can reopen the folder you chose. In the Mac App Store version, it also keeps a small record of whether your free trial or one-time unlock is active. Nothing is uploaded to us or to any server, and we have no access to any of it.

Network use

Repo Declutter works offline and does not send your files, folder contents, or scan results anywhere. Its display fonts are built into the app, so no font requests are made. When you click a link inside the app (such as the footer links), it opens that page in your default browser. The Microsoft Store and itch.io versions make no network requests of their own. In the Mac App Store version, Apple's StoreKit contacts Apple to check and complete purchases.

Purchases

In the Mac App Store version, the free trial and the one-time unlock are in-app purchases handled entirely by Apple. Apple does not share your name, email, payment details or Apple ID with us. The app only asks Apple whether your trial or unlock is active, and keeps that answer on your device.

Backups

The app can export a scan report to a CSV or TXT file at a location you choose. That file stays on your device. Removing clutter sends items to your Recycle Bin (the Trash on macOS) by default, or deletes them permanently if you choose, and the secret scan is read-only and never displays or stores the secret itself.

Third parties

Repo Declutter contains no third-party trackers, advertising SDKs, or analytics libraries, and does not share data with third parties, because it collects none.

Where you get the app

If you get Repo Declutter through the Microsoft Store, the Mac App Store or itch.io, that platform may process data related to your download, purchase and licensing under its own privacy policy. This policy describes only what the Repo Declutter app itself does.

Children's privacy

Repo Declutter does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.
