Product Data Grabber Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 11, 2026

Product Data Grabber ("the app") is a desktop app from EERIE that reads a product page from a supported online store and gives you its text and its picture addresses in a form you can select, copy and save. The supported stores are Amazon, Aosom, Decathlon, PcComponentes and Worten. The app has no accounts, no sign-in, and no servers of ours. It is not made by, endorsed by, or affiliated with Amazon, Aosom, Decathlon, PcComponentes, Worten, or any other store it reads.

What we collect

Nothing. The app has no user accounts, no analytics, no telemetry, and no advertising. EERIE never receives the addresses you paste, the products you read, the files you save, or anything else about your computer.

What the app reads

When you press Get Product, the app opens the address you pasted in its own browser window, off screen, and reads the text already published on that page. On Decathlon that is the product title, description, product number, colour, features, design details, specifications, and the addresses of the product photographs. On Amazon it is the product title, the short overview table, the "About this product" list, the product information tables, and the addresses of the product photographs. On Aosom it is the product title, the highlights with the brand, SKU and pack quantity, the weights and dimensions, the characteristics, the returns and business panels, the details text, and the addresses of the product photographs. On PcComponentes it is the product title, the summary of highlights, the product description, and the addresses of the product photographs. On Worten it is the product title, the technical characteristics, the seller's description and the manufacturer where the page has them, and the addresses of the product photographs. That text stays on your computer, in the app window, until you close the app or read another product. The app does not save it by itself.

Network use

The app is not offline software. Opening a product page is an ordinary visit to that store's website, made from your computer, so the store's servers see it the same way they would see a visit from your web browser, including your IP address. Before opening an Amazon address, the app removes the advertising and tracking parts that addresses copied from adverts and search results carry, keeping only the product code, the page language and the choice of product variation.

Pressing Save pictures downloads the photographs from the store's own picture server (media-amazon.com or ssl-images-amazon.com for Amazon, aosomcdn.com for Aosom, mediadecathlon.com for Decathlon, img.pccomponentes.com for PcComponentes, and Worten's own website for Worten) to the folder you choose. The app only accepts addresses on the supported stores, only downloads pictures from those picture servers, and contacts nothing else. It makes no connection at all when you simply open it.

Cookies from the stores' websites

Because each product page is loaded in a real browser window inside the app, the store's website can set cookies exactly as it would in your normal browser. Those cookies are stored by Windows in the app's own browser folder on your computer, are used only for loading these pages, and are never read or transmitted by the app. Removing the app removes them.

Where your settings are stored

Your settings are saved on your own computer: the light or dark theme, whether the app usage readout under the title is shown, and the size and position of the app's window so it reopens the way you left it. The addresses you paste are not saved anywhere and are gone when you close the app.

Files you save

Save as spreadsheet writes a CSV file, and Save pictures writes image files, to a location you pick each time. Those files stay on your device and under your control. The app never uploads them.

Third parties

The app contains no third-party trackers, advertising SDKs, or analytics libraries. The only third parties it ever contacts are the supported stores' own websites and picture servers, and only for the pages you asked for. What a store does with that visit is covered by that store's own privacy policy, not this one. Links inside the app, such as "Support This Project", "Report Issue", "Discussions", "Feature Request" and the link to suggest another store, open in your web browser only when you click them, taking you to third-party websites that operate under their own privacy policies.

Third-party distribution

If the app is obtained through the Microsoft Store or another platform, that platform may process data related to download, purchase, and licensing under its own policy. This policy describes only what the Product Data Grabber app itself does.

Children's privacy

Product Data Grabber does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, including when the app starts reading another store, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new "Last updated" date.
