Fret Tuner ("the app") is a desktop app from EERIE. It explains how the app handles your information.
Fret Tuner does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal information. It listens to an audio input so it can work out the pitch you are playing, and that audio never leaves your computer.
None. Fret Tuner has no user accounts, no sign-in, and no analytics or tracking.
Tuning an instrument requires listening to it, so the app opens the microphone or audio interface you choose and reads the incoming sound. The sound is held in memory only long enough to measure its pitch, about a tenth of a second at a time, and is then discarded. Nothing is recorded, nothing is written to disk, and nothing is uploaded. You choose which input it listens to, and you can stop it listening at any time with the Stop button.
Your preferences, which are the chosen instrument, tuning, reference pitch, input device, theme and whether the usage readout is shown, are saved locally on your own computer. Nothing is uploaded to us or to any server, and we have no access to any of it.
Fret Tuner works offline and makes no network requests of its own. Its fonts are the ones already on your system, so no font requests are made. When you click a link inside the app (such as the footer links), it opens that page in your default browser.
Fret Tuner contains no third-party trackers, advertising SDKs, or analytics libraries, and does not share data with third parties, because it collects none.
If you get Fret Tuner through the Microsoft Store, that platform may process data related to your download, purchase and licensing under its own privacy policy. This policy describes only what the Fret Tuner app itself does.
Fret Tuner does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new "Last updated" date.
