• All Chrome browser extensions published by EERIE (the developer/publisher), including the extension Image 2 Text by EERIE / Region OCR.
• The website eeriegoesd.com.

If a specific extension has different behavior, it will be stated in that extension’s store listing and/or in an extension-specific section on this page.

Browser extensions

EERIE extensions are designed to run locally in your browser. Unless explicitly stated otherwise in an extension’s store listing, EERIE extensions do not send your content to any external server.

What data extensions process

• Website content (only when you use the extension): some extensions may process content from the current page in order to perform their function. example: OCR
• User interaction: clicks needed to operate the extension (e.g., selecting an area for OCR).

What data extensions store

• Local extension storage (optional, feature-dependent): some extensions may store settings or the last result locally on your device using Chrome’s extension storage (e.g., chrome.storage) so you can see it in the popup later.

Image 2 Text by EERIE / Region OCR (specific)

• When you click Select area → OCR, the extension captures the visible tab image, crops the region you select, and runs OCR locally in your browser.
• The recognized text may be stored locally as the last OCR result so it can appear in the popup until you clear it.
• No OCR images/text are sent to EERIE servers.

Sharing

EERIE extensions do not sell, rent, or share user data with third parties, except if a specific extension clearly discloses a third-party integration in its store listing.

Retention and deletion

• Stored extension data (if any) remains on your device.
• You can clear stored results/settings from the extension UI (if provided) or by removing extension data in Chrome.
• Uninstalling the extension removes its locally stored data.

Analytics

The website may use Google Analytics (via Google tag / gtag.js) to understand basic usage (e.g., page views and general interaction patterns). This data is processed by Google and may use cookies or similar technologies depending on your browser settings.
