Enter your maximum equip load and select your desired roll speed. Choose which defensive stat to prioritize (physical, magic, fire, lightning, poise, or any of the weighted ratios), and the calculator finds the best armor piece for each slot that fits within your weight budget. It processes head, chest, hands, and legs in order, greedily picking the highest-priority item that still fits.

Weight ratio stats measure efficiency — how much of a given stat you get per unit of weight. For example, "Wt Phys Ratio" is physical defense divided by weight. "Wt Phys Poise Ratio" factors in both physical defense and poise relative to weight. These help you find the most weight-efficient armor rather than just the highest raw stats.

Go to the Inventory tab and check off every piece of armor you own in-game. Then in the Calculator, enable "Prioritize items in your inventory first" — the optimizer will prefer armor you actually have. You can export your inventory as a JSON file and import it later to keep your progress across browsers.

Yes. Use "Force Specific Items" to lock a particular piece into a slot — the calculator will always use it and optimize the remaining slots around it. Use "Exclude Items" to remove pieces you don't want the calculator to ever suggest, like fashion choices you refuse to wear.

Yes. Select your weapons and shields from the dropdowns in the calculator and their combined weight is subtracted from your available equip load before the armor optimizer runs. This ensures your results respect your actual remaining weight budget.
